Presence icon missing in Site Users webpart

Problem
The presence icon is missing in the Site Users webpart.

Solution
  1. Verify that Microsoft Office is installed on the client computer.
  2. Verify that Additional actions and Online Status for members is enabled in the General Settings for the Web Application.
  3. Verify that the SIP Address in the SharePoint user information has a value.

Add the following code to the profile: (If the profile for some reason doesn't open then you can get it here: C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\profile.ps1) if ((Get-PSSnapIn -Name Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue) -eq $null ) { Add-PSSnapIn -Name Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell } Save the profile. Next time you open the PowerShell ISE you will have all the Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell commandlets.

Error when running Register-SPAppPrincipal
